"Players must accept responsibility for errors"

MANAGER Andy Thomas believes his players must take responsibility for the defensive frailties which contributed largely to Saturday's 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Llandudno.

Despite dominating the first half, the Wingmakers conceded twice to trail 2-1 at the break and, in his post-match interview, Thomas said: "The second goal was just a bad goal, you can't give goals away like that.

"We had to work hard for our goals, we dominated the first half and, if we don't concede that goal, we go on and win the game, it's as simple as that, we were so dominant."

Similar defensive mistakes contributed to a string of defeats earlier in the season and Thomas added: "No team has cut us open, it's not as if they have passed it around us, they are sloppy goals which the players have to take responsibility for.

"We haven't been outplayed by anyone yet, we've just got to carry on what we are doing.

"It seems to be that, if we get in front we go on and win games but, if we go behind we don't, and we have got to show a bit more, it's down to the players."
