Matty is supporters' player of the year

MATTY McGinn is the Airbus supporters' player of the season.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who joined the club last summer from AFC Telford United, received the award at Friday night's annual presentation dinner held at the St David's Village Hotel in Ewloe.

McGinn also picked-up the goal of the season trophy for his strike against Gap Connah's Quay on New Year's Day.

Director of football Andy Preece selected Michael Pearson as his player of the year for his consistency throughout an ever-present season, while the players voted for leading scorer Tom Field. Jordan Barrow was voted young player of the season.

Josh Maldon and Charlie Short were presented with player or the year trophies for the Under-18s and Under-19s respectively, while Eddie Speed and Keighan Jones were presented with their Wales Academies caps.

Thanks go to commercial manager Chris Doran for hosting a superb evening.
