Field nominated for player of the season award

AIRBUS midfielder Tom Field is one of three players who have been shortlisted for the Welsh Premier League's player of the season award.

The 29-year-old had an outstanding campaign, equalling the club scoring record of 16 goals in a season set by Marc Lloyd Williams and was named in the WPL team of the season, voted for by the league managers.

A former Everton youth with experience at Leigh RMI, Field went on to play for Vauxhall Motors, Chester and Northwich Victoria, before joining the Wingmakers in June 2012.

After notching 28 league goals this season, last season's winner Chris Venables is again nominated for the award alongside Newtown striker Jason Oswell, who was snapped-up by the Robins from Airbus at the end of last season.
