Lee-Bulmer disappointment as loan deal stalls

GOALKEEPER Niki Lee-Bulmer is disappointed that he has been denied the chance of regular first-team football at Bangor City because he played a game for the Airbus Under-19s earlier this season.

The 22-year-old Chester born stopper is currently on-loan at Rhyl, where he has played only four Welsh Premier games this season as deputy to first-choice gloveman Alex Ramsay.

Lee-Bulmer was wanted by Bangor City after their debutant keeper Jack Cudworth injured an ankle against the Wingmakers on Tuesday night, with manager Nev Powell being forced to turn to inexperience 18-year-old Nick Bould for his first taste of top flight action.

But, because Lee-Bulmer appeared for the Airbus Under-19s earlier this season in a development league fixture, he is ineligible to move to Bangor because he has already played for two clubs this season.

"If I get stitched up because of a 19s game early this year I'm gonna be fuming" Lee-Bulmer tweeted this morning.

Niki signed for Airbus in February 2011 and went on to make 31 WPL starts before sustaining a serious shoulder injury which kept him out for the whole of last season.
