GARETH Richards has been appointed as the club's new commercial manager, to succeed Chris Doran who left recently to take up a new job.
Gareth, who takes-up his new role at the end of this month, lives locally in Saltney and joined the club in the summer of 2013 as part of the academy coaching staff.
As a player, he earned a cap for Wales at Under-18 level in 2002 and made a few appearances for Airbus reserves the following year.
His first step in management was with Chester Schoolboys Under-14 and in September 2012 he spent some time in Spain studying at the La Masia academy in Barcelona and also at Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Espanyol.
Prior to joining Airbus, Gareth had a spell as Youth Development Manager at Chester FC before managing the Airbus Under-18 squad that won the quadruple and featured the likes of current first team players James Murphy, Bailey Jackson and Dominic Doherty.
He spent season 2015/16 at Everton providing coaching and sports science support to the first team, Under-21s and academy sides.
Also the manager of the club's Under-19 development squad, Gareth is studying for a degree in Science and Football at Liverpool John Moores University.
