AIRBUS UK Broughton's Welsh Premier fixture at Carmarthen Town today has been postponed.
The Richmond Park pitch was deemed fit for play by referee Bryn Markham-Jones early on Saturday morning but the Wingmakers had eight players and staff snowed-in, with others unable to reach Broughton due to road conditions.
Concerned about making a four hour journey from north to south in hazardous driving conditions, the Wingmakers' initial request for a postponement was refused by the FAW on Friday night.
However, the governing body finally acceeded to the request this morning with the Wingmakers' coach also unable to reach The Airfield.
"Airbus UK Broughton would like to thank the FAW and Carmarthen Town for their understanding with regards our position on travelling in awful circumstance," says chief operating officer Stewart Roberts.
"Whilst unfortunate, we have to ensure that safety is a priority and conditions in Flintshire this morning are terrible."
The match has been re-arranged for Easter Monday 1 April with a 14.30 kick off.
