THE Wingmakers made a fruitless seven hours plus round trip to Carmarthen on Easter Monday.
No officials turned-up at Richmond Park and the game was called-off shortly before the scheduled 2.30pm kick-off time.
"Airbus UK Broughton are extremely disappointed to have travelled south today only to be told no Officials were present to officiate the game," says chief operating officer Stewart Roberts.
"Someone, somewhere is to blame and we'll leave it with the powers that be to find out the circumstances behind the embarrassing situation.
"That said someone will have to pay the travel costs and wages for players in attendance and the league will seriously need to look at how they ensure Airbus are not penalised for this in anyway. Travelling down again midweek would be a punishment in itself.
"Airbus UK Broughton today could have moved one step closer to Europe with a win, that opportunity has been removed as the momentum of the League is again thrown into turmoil.
"Airbus will liaise with the WPL over today's unfortunate events," he added.
