EXCITING Wrexham scholar Matty Sargent has joined Airbus on-loan until January and made his debut in Saturday's Nathaniel MG Cup win over Llanfair.

The 18-year-old made his National League debut for Wrexham in April when manager Bryan Hughes hailed the midfielder's "absolutely outstanding" contribution in a come-from-behind win over Harrogate Town.

Sargent was given his first taste of senior football in December as a late replacement in an FA Trophy win over Boston United and has also earned a call-up to the Wales Under-17 ranks.
