Airbus UK Broughton put in an excellent display of passing Football against their Coast Rivals on Saturday and were comfortable 3-1 winners in the end.

The Wingmakers started very brightly with 3 early chances in the First half with Matty Woodward first hitting a rasping 25 yard drive forcing Cann into the 1st of many saves, Carl Owen got the ball out from under his feet to test the keeper on 8 mins and a Phil Clarke Free Kick flew just over the bar- the first 10 mins were promising from the home side, with the ball being moved around with some neat interchanging play taking place.

Jak Abraham who has started this season brightly gave away a free kick in the 15th minute and picked up a yellow for a top up of 3 fouls in as many minutes, a minute later a long punt from Kristian Rogers beat the home defence and Andy Moran could not quite get enough on the header to force it past Cann. Aber were restricted at this point in terms of possession and any real threat in the final third with Ricky Evans ploughing a lone furrow at times, in fact the only notable effort on goal was a shot from Sherbon after the ball found him from a corner, his shot was wide much to the frustration of Aber Manager Morgan.

On 31 mins Keeper Cann nearly had one of those embarrasing moments, Andy Moran played a delighful through ball and the on coming Keeper took a wild swipe only to miss it completely with the ball going out for a goal kick, Conall Murtagh was booked for the seasiders on 33 mins after a late challenge and a minute later Cann was forced into another save this time from the impressive if somewhat fiesty Abraham.

Airbus` dominance in the first half looked like it would not result in a half time lead, and Morgan would surely have been happy to go in 0-0 however a crazy few minutes prior to half time was to change that likelihood, firstly on 44 mins the inspirational Danny Desormeaux was felled in the box and up stepped Carl Owen to take the penalty, Cann however was the third keeper in successive games to deny the Wingmakers, in fact it was an outstanding save to get down to his right and parry it away for a corner. Unbelievably from the resulting corner Luke Sherbon handled on the edge of the Area with referee Lee Evans pointing to the spot and booking Sherbon for the offence, Andy Moran this time stepped up to bury the spot kick much to the delight of Manager Craig Harrison and his bench.

The second stanza was to start quite bizarrley with Referee Evans booking Aber sub Lewis Codling after 46 mins for not informing the referee he had come on in replace of the injured Ricky Evans, however Aber obviously fired up by Morgan came out of the blocks quicker and for 10 mins they threatened with some neat play in midfield before long diagonal balls over the Airbus Defence to try and get Luke Powell and Ryan Marriot beyond the impressive Airbus Full backs, once the Aber forward line were through and the chance fell to Sub Codling who only had keeper Rogers to beat, he did by going around the Airbus stopper only for Matty Woodward to prevent his shot from crossing the line with a last gasp block.

However normal service was soon returned as a kick from Rogers was flicked on by Abraham on the half way line to Moran, his simple ball split open the Aber defence and Owen was through, he took two touches and buried his shot past the hapless Cann 2- 0 Airbus and the game seemingly won.

Aber introduced Stef Edwards for Bari Morgan in an attempt to gain more width but only 2 minutes later the game was won as Airbus drilled a corner into the box it popped up and was waiting for someone to either finish or clear it, Mark Allen outstanding on the day for Airbus took one touch to control and another to smash it past Cann for goal number 3, with the Skippers team-mates delighted and the Management of Airbus happy to have 3 points in the bag.

Airbus replaced Abraham with Matty Cook and Debutant Nick Rushton replaced the outstanding Carl Owen before Phil Clarke picked up a yellow card for a late challenge, Jay McCarten replaced Gareth Hughes for Aber as the last tem minutes or so were a non event, at least until the 2nd minute of injury time when for the 1st time all day the Wingmakers defence switched off for a split second to allow Aneurin Thomas to drive a shot passed Rogers who could do nothing, this the only glitch much to the annoyance of Harrison in what was another excellent high tempo passing performance form the impressive Wingmakers.

Newtown visit the Airfield on Tuesday in the Loose Moores Cup 1st Round 1st Leg kick off 7.30pm
