AIRBUS have boosted their attacking options by finally landing the signature of striker Joe Chaplin from Porthmadog.

The 25-year-old played at Under-16s level for Llandudno, winning two North Wales Youth Coast Cups with the club, before moving to study at Cardiff Met University, where he played for the Welsh League outfit as they won back-to-back promotions from Division Three to Division One between 2011 and 2014.

On moving back home following the completion of his degree, Chaplin played for Glan Conwy, before joining Conwy Borough, where he netted 14 goals in 19 appearances.

He signed for Llandudno in January 2017 but his appearances were restricted was hampered by injury and he returned to the Tangerines, before joining Port in June last year and scoring twice against the Wingmakers in their 2-1 defeat at The Traeth last season.
