RYAN Edwards became the first player to make 200 Welsh Premier League appearances for Airbus when he was named in the starting line-up for today's fixture away to Cardiff Met.

The 28-year-old returned to the club in August 2016 after spending four successful seasons with Bangor City, where he made 114 league appearances.

Formerly with Flint Town United, Cefn Druids and Halkyn United, Ryan joined Airbus in season 2006/7 and went on to win Wales Under-23 semi-professional honours.

He was the longest-serving player at the Wingmakers when he bought out his contract in August 2012 and signed for Bangor.

After four seasons with the Citizens, he was released by mutual consent in July 2016 to retuen to the Hollingsworth Group Stadium and has been ever-present this season.

Voted manager's player of the season in 2012, Edwards is a long way ahead in the club's appearances table with Mark Allen on 148, John Davies 134, James McIntosh 132, Ashley Williams 130 and Danny Desormeaux 128.
