DIRECTOR of football Andy Preece was pleased with Saturday's 2-1 win and especially the first-half performance against Bala Town.
And he does not feel that the Wingmakers have been on a particularly bad run of late: "We have had a couple of draws and a defeat but that's only one defeat in six games, so it depends how you look at it really," Preece said.
"We feel we've been a bit unfortunate. We don't want penalties given to us like we did today, in a way I'm glad he (Jordan Barrow) missed it because we don't want any charity.
"The one against us at Port Talbot was a scandalous decision and today I thought it looked really harsh.
"But we had to show character after that because we've missed a penalty, we've had three games without a win, but I thought some of the football we played in the first half against a Bala side who have had four wins out of four was superb.
"We knew how tough it would be, but our first half performance was really good.
"The highlight was the goal, as good a goal as you'll see in the Welsh Premier this season or probably any season, there must have been 18 or 19 passes.
"We are starting to get to grips with the pitch a little bit and it was good to see that we kept going forward and looking for more.
"Once we had Jay Owen sent-off it put us on the back foot after we've been comfortable all day.
"We feel we've been a bit unlucky in some games and we are nowhere playing at our best. I think we've got another 20% to go and we're third, so it's not a bad position to be in."
