ANDY Preece was delighted with Boxing Day's 4-0 win over Flintshire neighbours Connah's Quay.
But the Wingmakers' director of football is still unsure whether the 33 points garnered so far are enough to guarantee a top-six finish at the split.
"It's horrible, it's difficult this year, 30 points is normally enough. You look at our 33 after today's game and you're thinking I don't know if that is enough," he said.
"So we've just got to keep getting as many points as we can but obviously we've put ourselves in with a great chance and, if you're in the top six, you've got a chance to be in the top two or three or the play-offs.
"When we look at the teams that are not going to be in there, we're grateful that we are.
"I'm pretty sure another three points would be enough, so the sooner we can get those the better."
Preece is also pleased that the goals are starting to flow: "It was nice to score the goals because I have been critical of the lads, especially at Carmarthen and against Prestatyn, when we haven't really scored the goals our approach play deserved," he went on.
"I thought we did great today, it's always difficult playing against the sort of quality that Connah's Quay have got in their squad.
"I thought we went about it really well from the first minute, we played some good stuff but we had to patient at times because they do defend deep and look to counter, but it was a really professional performance.
"They weren't really causing us any sort of threat, we just had to be patient and take our chances when they came.
"They had one chance in the game at one-nil when we were totally dominating but James Coates has made a great save, it would have been a bit of a travesty if that had gone in.
"Once we got the second goal we felt that it would probably go three or four, maybe even more.
"But with another four today I can't complain."
