LEWIS Short and Ryan Wade have both left the Hollingsworth Group Stadium to join Nantwich Town and Stalybridge Celtic respectively.
Left-sided defender Short, 24, joined Airbus in January 2013. He previously played for Congleton Town before spending three months on trial at Crewe Alexandra, impressing sufficiently to be awarded a professional contract in August 2010.
Short went to Nantwich on loan for a month before another loan spell with Northwich Victoria, where he was one of Andy Preece's charges.
He eventually made a permanent move to the Vics before signing for manager Jimmy Quinn at the Dabbers in summer 2012.
Short made 50 Welsh Premier appearances for the club, scoring once, and also started all four matches in the Europa League against Ventspils and Haugesunds.
Wade had been with the Wingmakers for three seasons after previous experience with Skelmersdale United, Vauxhall Motors, Burscough, Runcorn Town, Prescot Cables and Northwich.
He started 64 WPL games, scoring 17 goals with his volley against Port Talbot this season one of the nominations for goal of the season.
"Keyo (Wade) has been a key part of our squad but made it clear if an opportunity came in England he fancied going back," says director of football Andy Preece.
"It's difficult to see players go when you've worked with them for so long and built such a strong relationship. He has been great for me, I wish him all the best as he is a great lad.
"Lewis has had problems injury-wise and played through the pain barrier for us.
"He has struggled to play since Christmas so we could only offer him a deal which was based on appearances.
"He decided it may be time for a fresh start, to get fit and playing again.
"He is another great lad who was very much part of our success and we wish him well," Preece added.
