Airbus to face giant-killing students in round four

THE Wingmakers have been drawn away to Cardiff Metropolitan University in the fourth round of the FAW Welsh Cup.

The students produced an upset in the third round on Saturday, beating Welsh Premier outfit Prestatyn Town 4-1 on their 3G pitch at Cyndoed.

Managed by former Aberystwyth Town assistant boss Christian Edwards, Cardiff Met also disposed of WPL opposition three years ago when they beat Bala Town 4-1.

In the earlier rounds of this season's competition, Cardiff Met have beaten AFC Llwydcoed 9-0 before disposing of Ammanford, 3-2 away in the second phase.

Ties are to be played over the weekend of February 6-8 and all clubs in the draw are guaranteed £2,500 in prize money, which would increase to a minimum of £6,000 for the winners of the fourth round ties.
