Airbus in double swoop for new signings

AIRBUS UK Broughton have made a double swoop to bolster their squad ahead of the club's second European adventure this summer.

Matty McGinn arrives from AFC Telford United while Ellis Healing joins from Conwy Borough.

A 31-year-old left back, McGinn has just celebrated the third Conference North title of his career after helping to steer Telford to automatic promotion to the Conference Premier league.

But McGinn, who is an electrician, was unable to commit to life in the Conference Premier because of his work and Telford boss Liam Watson reluctantly agree to part with the Fazakerley-born player.

After playing for Runcorn and then spending six years at Southport, McGinn joined Chester on a permanent deal in September 2011 after a loan spell.

He scored 22 goals in 35 appearances to help earn the Blues the Conference North title during the 2012/13 campaign.

Since leaving the New Bucks Head, McGinn has been linked with several clubs, including a return to Chester, but has opted to join the Wingmakers.

Healing, a 20-year-old left or right sided attacking midfielder, spent eight years at Crewe Alexandra from the age of six to 14 before being awarded a two-year scholarship with Tranmere Rovers.

After being released from Prenton Park, he played in Sweden for BK Sport for the remaining part of the season in 2012, returning to the UK to play on non-contract terms for Hyde FC and then Conwy Borough, scoring seven goals in the Huws Gray Alliance last season including a hat-trick at Buckley Town.
