We have to react better after conceding - Preece

ANDY Preece felt Bala's first goal was crucial as his Airbus side slumped to a 3-0 home defeat in the Welsh Premier on Saturday.

"It turned on the (first) goal and, as has happened three or four times this season, we concede a goal and just completely seem to lose belief or togetherness and end up being three down before you know it.

"It's a weakness in us and we've got to do better. Up until that you couldn't see it coming but we just didn't deal with two balls into our box, didn't deal with the second balls and fair play to Bala they took their chances."

The Wingmakers improved after the break but Preece was unimpressed: "The game is 3-0, it's a totally different game to what it would be at nil-nil, it's a token effort, at least we showed a little bit of character but that's gone to be done from, well I wouldn't say minute one, because until they scored there was nothing in the game, but when you go behind you've got to show a lot more character than we did today."

Both Ashley Williams of Airbus and Rob Pearson of Bala were sent-off for an incident in the first half and Preece added: "I've seen the incident once, I think the referee got the initial decision wrong, it was a foul on Ashley Williams and he's given it against Ash, who has got hold of the ball thinking it might be our free kick.

"Then there's a little bit of a tangle, I think the referee maybe brought it on himself, you don't want to see anybody get a red card and I can't say much more than that."
