AIRBUS Ladies have announced a host of new signings ahead of the 2018/19 season which starts with a visit from Llanfair this Sunday.

Runners-up in the North Wales Women's League last term, the Airbelles aim to go one better this campaign and lift the Division One title.

Led by skipper Abby Williams, the majority of last season's squad have re-signed.

Player-coach Mari Edwards, who hopes to have recovered from injury sufficiently to play her part on the field, reports the team has 28 players signed on.

New faces are:

Ceri Evans: Outstanding goalkeeper and ex-North East Wales player who left The New Saints at the end of last season.

Maisie Turner: Airbus youth player set to participate in her first season of senior football. A fast wide midfielder, she created many chances against tough pre-season opponents.

Ffion Whitley: Another youth player ready for her senior bow. A strong young centre-back of which good things are expected.

Jess Lowrie: Fast and creative full-back. Represented Wales at Under-17 and Under-19 level and played for Wrexham in the Welsh Premier League.

Laura Eagles: Another Eagles has landed. Laura joins her sister Hana at Airbus. Laura, who was with champions Northop Hall last season, is a centre midfielder good at controlling a game, and played very well during pre-season.

Laura Earn: A great attacking acquisition for Airbus. She hails from Northern Ireland, where she played for Ballynahinch FC.

Victoria Coulton: An ex-North East Wales player, brilliant strong full back previously with Wrexham FC and Prestatyn.
