AN Airbus UK Broughton XI will host a Hollyoaks Celebrity XI to honour Matty McGinn on Friday 28 July at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
McGinn was forced to quit the game at the end of last season with a persistent shoulder injury and the opposition for his testimonial is particularly appropriate for the 34-year-old as he works as an electrician on the set of the popular Channel 4 soap.
The Hollyoaks team will include long-serving cast member Nick Pickard, who plays chef turned cab driver, Tony Cunningham, with other players to be confirmed.
Admission to the game is £5 (£2 concessions) with proceeds to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
McGinn scored 12 goals from 64 (+9) Welsh Premier appearances for the Wingmakers after joining the club in June 2014 and previously was a popular player with Runcorn, Chester and AFC Telford United.
