MANAGER Andy Thomas has confirmed that Aaron Bowen has left the Wingmakers.

"We have lost Aaron Bowen who decided at half-time against Connah's Quay to leave the club which was very disappointing, however we move on and now look for a replacement, " said Thomas, who is looking to strengthen the squad.

A Liverpool-born striker who played for Skelmersdale, Cammell Laird and Shepparton United in Australia, Bowen joined Barrow in June 2013. After failing to fulfil his potential at Holker Street was loaned to Warrington Town, a move which was made permanent in November, signing for Rhyl in June 2014.

Released from Belle Vue in February 2016 due to personal circumstances, Bowen re-signed for Cammell Laird but returned to the WPL with Cefn Druids in July 2016, joining Airbus this summer, scoring two goals from eight league appearances as well as the extra-time goal that beat his former club Druids in the Nathaniel MG Cup.
