ANDY Preece has targeted four wins from the remaining five games to guarantee a first-ever European appeareance for Airbus UK Broughton.

Speaking after Friday night's 4-1 home win over Prestatyn Town, the Wingmakers' director of football said: "We're in with a great chance of second place, we're four points clear with only five games to go, with still Bangor to play at home, so all we can do is keep winning our games.

"If we win four games out of our last five, we're guaranteed, but third place might be enough so we've got to make sure we get at least third.

"We're in there with a great shout now."

In fact, Bangor's Saturday home draw with Port Talbot means they can only achieve a maximum of 57 points, leaving Airbus - who have a vastly superior goal difference - needing nine more points.

Preece was delighted with the fourth win of the season over the Seasiders.

"When you get to the business end of the season which we're in now, it's all about the three points but to play like we did again, it was a really good performance," he said.

"We've been consistent in our performances all the way through the season, we've had a couple of defeats and then we've bounced back with two wins, but I've always felt that we've played well in the games that we've lost.

"We looked dangerous every time we attacked, some poor decisions at times where our final ball wasn't right, but we're a dangerous side, I think we are still top scorers in the league, so we've done that consistently throughout the season and if you score goals you've always got a chance," he added.
