THE Wingmakers have added another squad member with the acquisiiton of Jake Phillips from Connah's Quay Nomads.

The 22-year defender, who is the son of former Wrexham midfielder Wayne, spent time with Wrexham and Cefn Druids before joining the Nomads in in June 2017 as one of the club's first full-time professionals, making his debut as a half-time substiturte in the Europa League against HJK Helsinki.

He was loaned to Bangor City for the first part of last season and then earned a call-up to the Wales C semi-professional squad.

Phillips has made a name for himself in the Welsh Premier League as a long throw specialist.
