THE Wingmakers defeated Buckley Town 5-2 in the second of their pre-season friendlies.

Although new signing Andy Owens led the way with a brace, it was the club's youngsters that shone and played a key part in the overall performance.

Airbus were soon in the lead when a Jake Phillips corner was deflected into his own net by a defender under pressure from Owens who, 10 minutes before half-time, added the second with a fine finish from just inside the box.

The visitors reduced the arrears just after the break through Connor Littler, but Owens restored the two-goal advantage with another excellent finish in a one-on-one with keeper Joe Massaro.

The Under-19s then took a hand with George Peers adding a fourth and Stuart McHarrie rounding off the home scoring with a fine solo effort on his first team debut, before Littler got his second of the night for the Bucks.
