AIRBUS continued to struggle on their travels as they crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Guilsfield.

There could be few complaints about the final scoreline as the lively hosts were better than the Wingmakers in every department and could have scored more with better finishing.

Yet the outcome could have been different had Airbus taken first half chances after a long ball found Alfons Fosu-Mensah in the clear to steer the ball past Andrew Wycherley on 26 minutes. Damase Kiwanda headed over from Leo Riley's cross and Luke Busumbru twice found Fosu-Mensah in good positions but the striker sent his first effort agonisingly wide and fired well wide from the second.

The game was turned on its head in the final minute of the first half as Guilsfield scored twice. Asa Hamilton had just gone close when Jamie Crowther was beaten down the byline and Chris Cathrall had an easy chance to level. A defensive mix-up then presented a chance to Robbie James who sent the Guils into the break with their tails up.

James was narrowly wide from a Hamilton cross just after the break as under-pressure Airbus conceded several free kicks in dangerous positions and the game was settled just past the hour mark when Callum Bromley scored via the inside of the far post.

Airbus rarely threatened after that with Riley firing straight at the keeper and the hosts clearing a late effort off the line.
