RYAN Edwards was the hero with a second-half brace as Airbus edged a seven-goal thriller at home to Holyhead to return to winning ways in the league.
Trailing 3-2 after 57 minutes, the Wingmakers equalised when Edwards volleyed past Hotspur keeper Paul Pritchard with the help of a defender's deflection. And, four minutes from time, the club's longest-serving player struck again when he converted from an Alfons Fosu-Mensah pass.
Both sides contributed to an entertaining affair on a snow-covered pitch which was rightly deemed playable and it was Airbus who drew first blood on seven minutes when Luke Busumbru headed home from a Wes Baynes cross. But the lead was short lived before Ryan Taylor brought the visitors level after some poor defending.
Damase Kiwanda went close with an ambitious bicycle kick on the edge of the box before the visitors took the lead when Mel McGuinness picked the ball up deep in his own half and went on a surging 70-yard run before playing-in John Littlemore who beat Andy Coughlin with an angled shot.
Airbus were soon level when Jamie Crowther's right wing cross was headed home by Kiwanda but only two smart saves by Coughlin from Taylor and Dewi Thomas prevented Hotspur taking a lead into the break.
But the visitors went in front again when a left-wing free kick from Keiron Hilditch found Taylor unmarked at the far post and the impressive wingman made no mistake. Once again an equaliser came quickly and the game looked headed for a draw until Edwards popped-up with his late goal to seal a welcome victory.
