AIRBUS fell to a 3-1 defeat in their final pre-season friendly, but the final scoreline flattered hosts Warrington Town.
The Wingmakers went into the game with several absentees, including Aaron Bowen, Stef Edwards and Ronny Song, but gave a good account of themselves in the Cantilever Park sunshine.
Chances were at a premium in the first half, with former Wingmakers' marksman Tony Gray having a header cleared off the line for the Yellows while, at the other end, keeper Tony McMillan was forced into a save from a trialist's volley and Wes Baynes was high with a shot from outside the box.
McMillan made a good punch save to deny Ryan Edwards and his side immediately took the lead when Baynes failed to deal with a Dylan Vassallo cross, leaving Connor Hughes with a simple finish.
However, the lead was short-lived when, after a slip by ex-TNS stalwart Phil Baker, Edwards set-up Pavel Vieira who finished high beyond the keeper.
After the break, the Yellows' stopper produced a good save from Leo Riley before Town took the lead again when a Sean Williams' free-kick was headed home by Abou Sanogo.
And the result was beyond doubt minutes later when Airbus failed to clear their lines from a corner and, when the ball went loose, Jay McCarten produced a good finish.
