FORMER Chester City defender John Davies has returned to Airbus as player/coach after an eight-year stint elsewhere.
The 32-year-old, who was named in last season's Huws Gray Alliance team of the season, was virtually ever-present for the Wingmakers after his release from the Deva Stadium, making 134 (+2) Welsh Premier League appearances.
After a brief pre-season spell with Colwyn Bay in 2008 he returned to the club, leaving in January 2009 to sign for Flint Town United, where has been a permanent fixture in the centre of defence, also having a brief spell with Holywell Town.
Manager Andy Thomas is also delighted to announce that former club stalwart Mark Allen is stepping-up to the first team coaching staff from the academy. A former Watford reserve, "Skip" has considerable experience at WPL level having made 385 (+34) appearances, scoring 30 goals for Bangor City, Cefn Druids, Newtown and the Wingmakers, where he spent the final six seasons of his playing career.
