A PERSISTENT shoulder injury has forced Matty McGinn to hang up his boots at the age of 33.
Matty won three Conference North winners' medals with Southport, Chester FC and AFC Telford United after staring his career with Runcorn. He scored 22 goals in 35 appearances to help earn the Blues the Conference North title during the 2012/13 campaign and was a major contributor as Telford gained automatic promotion a year later.
Unable to commit to Conference Premier football due to work, he signed for Airbus UK Broughton in June 2014 and went on to make 64 (+9) Welsh Premier appearances, scoring 12 goals, also appearing twice in the Europa League.
The club would like to thank Matty for his contribution.
