AIRBUS gained their second friendly win of the mid-season break by beating neighbours Flint Town United 5-1 at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.

The deadlock was broken midway through the first half when a Tony Gray run ended with a sliderule pass to Liam O'Neill, who netted into the far corner. The Wingmakers had a chance to double their lead when Gray was fouled in the box, but Matty McGinn's penalty kick was well saved.

But, two goals just before the break soon put the hosts in command. A Gray shot was saved and deflected onto an upright but O'Neill was on handed to score from the rebound. And, moments later, James Murphy crossed from the byline for Gray to flick the ball into the far corner.

The Silkmen got a goal back straight after half-time when former Wingmaker Mark Cadwaller fired home but Airbus responded immediately when Gray created space for himself before firing a superb 20-yard strike into the top corner.

Rhys Jones was denied a goal by a good save before Kevin Monteiro's deft pass found Ryan Fraughan who added a fifth into the far corner.
