THE Wingmakers overpowered Morecambe's Under-21 development side, winning 8-0 in a Friday night friendly at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
Airbus spurned several chances before breaking the deadlock on the half hour with Ryan Fraughan's through ball found Tony Gray, who finished with ease.
A cross from Jamie Menagh found Gray at the far post a minute before the break and the striker completed a hat-trick by the half-time whistle, curling a great shot into the far corner after Fraughan had been denied in a one-on-one with the visiting keeper.
The introduction of some Under-19s in the second half failed to slow the home side's momentum and Liam O'Neill played a one-two with Glenn Rule before crossing for James Murphy to head home at the back post.
Morecambe were awarded a penalty but Ryan Neild made a good save to keep the visitors out before a good run from Kevin Monteiro ended with youngster Liam Schofield seeing his shot parried, only for O'Neill to net from the rebound.
O'Neill added a sixth, a ball over the top then found Schofield who added another before O'Neill completed a hat-trick, tapping home Schofield's goal-bound shot.
