SATURDAY'S victory at Newtown was 'a big three points' for manager Andrew Thomas.

"The league is tight and you can soon move up two or three places but we're just taking each game as it comes," he said.

"I thought the performance today was outstanding, we created lots of chances and I think we should have killed the game off when we are at two-nil.

"We had a few really good chances, but they got a couple of good goals, they are a good team, but we still managed to create chances and made it comfortable in the last minutes."

The victory lifted the Wingmakers from bottom spot to the top six but Thomas went on: "I haven't even looked at the league table to be honest, we're improving with every game and we've got Ryan Wignall to come back and start training so we've got something to add to the squad.

"I'm disappointed Tom (Matthews) has had a bad injury today so we'll see how that is, but the lads are enjoying it.

"We've got two training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday now before we play against a very good Llandudno team, every game is tough so we have to prepare properly for it."
