AIRBUS skipper Andy Jones has returned to one of his former clubs Newtown due to travelling difficulties with his job at the Shrewsbury Town academy.
Jones, 31, has made 51 (+11) Welsh Premier appearances for the Wingmakers since joining from the Robins two and a half years ago, and also appeared in four Europa League ties.
A centre-back and striker who was selected to attend the English Universities' squad trials while studying at Worcester University in 2008, 31-yera-old Jones has also been on the books of Shrewsbury Town, AFC Telford United, Hednesford Town, Bromsgrove Rovers, Stourport Swifts and Redditch United, joining Newtown for the first time from Evesham United in January 2012.
He spent two seasons with the Robins before signing for the Wingmakers in January 2014.
"Thanks for everything and best wishes to all the lads and staff @airbusukfc was a great experience" Jones tweeted this morning.
"We've been keeping an eye on his situation at Airbus for a while now and he's changed his job, which meant travelling became a problem, so it is a good solution for everyone that he signs here" says Newtown manager Chris Hughes.
