AIRBUS UK were undermined by a three-goal blast in just five minutes in the second half as high flying TNS maintained their tight grip on the title race.

"It’s no disgrace losing to TNS, but I was disappointed with the three goals we conceded in such a short space of time, which is something we’ve done a few times this season," said director of football Andy Preece.

"They caused us a lot of problems in the first half, could have been three or four up, but we changed it around at half time and were still in the game.

"We battled hard, but the one negative was the way we conceded those three goals, two on the counter, and one from our mistake, and the game has gone.

"TNS played really well in the first half, we could have been more than 1-0 down, although the one goal we did concede came from our mistake when we lost the ball."

The Saints, who have not lost a domestic game at home for three years, were at their best as they bossed possession in the first half.

The Wingmakers, the only side to defeat the defending champions last term, came more into the game after the break following some half time changes.

But the Saints wrapped up the points with a quickfire treble in the final quarter.
