Airbus UK Broughton have revealed their latest signing in the form of Danny Grannon who joins the Wingmakers from Colwyn Bay Football Club.

Grannon has won the league 3 times with former Club West Kirby in the West Cheshire League before moving on to Colwyn Bay firstly under Neil Young and latterly with Dave Challinor winning promotion in both his seasons at Llanelian Road.

Grannon is reknowned for his Aerial Abilty, and is an out and out no nonsense defender who will put his body on the line for the cause, Grannon is 6ft 4" tall and will bring an additional threat in the oppositions goalmouth from set pieces as well as more height at the back for the Wingmakers, he is a direct replacement for the departed Matty Woodward who has joined Chester FC and he will complete the 4 centre Halfs that Director of Football Craig Harrison wishes to carry this season competing with Tommy Holmes, Gavin Cadwallader and Mark Allen for a place in the Airbus line ups.

Director of Football Craig Harrison was delighted to capture Grannon after monitoring him throughout last season "Its great to get Danny on Board, he`s a big lad and a very good defender and will give us extra bite which we have been a little light on last season, we needed to bring another Defender in as we have lost 2 from last season in Matty (Woodward) and Leon (Clowes) who has returned to Wrexham"

"Danny has played a big part in getting the Bay promoted and his winning mentality will hopefully rub off throughout the Squad, we now have a strong mix of youth and experience and if we can gel quickly I think we will be improve on last year`s finish, but the league is improving and everyone is strengthening so nothing is given away cheaply and we will have to work extremely hard over the coming months"

"Our Business in nearly done in the transfer market, there be the odd one still to have another look at but we are nearly there and once the window closes we can get our heads down and start chasing some points"

Grannon will join his old Colwyn Bay team mate Ian Sheridan at the Airfield and if his registration is verified in time he is likely to go straight into Harrison`s Squad for Friday`s Clash at Bastion Gardens Home of Prestatyn Town.
