THREE players from the Airbus UK Broughton academy have been called-up for a training camp by the Wales Under-18 Academies Representative Squad.

Goalkeeper Keighan Jones, who has already made a substitute appearance in the FAW Welsh Cup, is joined by Eddie Speed, son of late Wales manager Gary, and George Rathbone.

"The call-ups are well-deserved for the hard work they have put in since they arrived at the club," says academy director Lee Starkey.

"It is a great achievement for the club as we would probably have had four players named but for an injury to Rhys Jones.

"It follows on from last year's success when we had Zyaac and Noah Edwards, Myles Hart and Aaron Hassall in the squad and hopefully these three players will also earn a call-up when the final squad is named."

The training camp will last two days at Newport's Dragon Park (pictured) in February.
