DIRECTOR of football Andy Preece will rotate his squad for TUesday night's last-eight tie against Flintshire rivals Gap Connah's Quay at the Deeside Stadium (7.45pm).

"It will give a number of players an opportunity to come in and try to keep the pressure on the players who have got the shirts," Preece says.

"We finished Friday's game against TNS with a completely different midfield from the one that started the match but we looked just as strong.

"It’s not just about 11 players, it's about having a strong squad, and we've got that."

Nomads go into the game on the back of a heavy home defeat at the hands of Bangor City and player-manager Mark McGregor says he will field his strongest available side, although he will definitely be without Ricky Evans through suspension after the midfielder was sent-off against the Citizens.

"It’s going to be tough. They're right up there at the top of the table and we know we need to play better than we did against Bangor," McGregor said.
