ANDY Preece is hoping that the comforts of home will see the Wingmakers back to winning ways when they host high-flying Bala Town at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium on Saturday (2.30pm).

Airbus last staged a home match almost a month ago, when they overcame Rhyl 2-1, but the Lakesiders arrive on the back of a four-match winning run, which has left them two points ahead of Preece's side and the director of football is anticipating a real test of his side’s Europa League credentials.

"It’s not bad is it! They are going really well, but they have good players throughout the team so it is no surprise.”

The Wingmakers face a real fight to finish in the automatic Europa League spot for a third consecutive season with Bala and Aberystwyth providing real competition, but Preece believes that competition is good for the league.

"It is nip and tuck and we want to be tested in meaningful games,” he says. "The league is certainly not boring."

Matty McGinn and Ryan Wignall have both trained this week after injuries and could return to the sqaud.

Meanwhile, Bala have new on-loan signing Lee Hunt available up-front but ex-Wingmakers Ian Sheridan and Mike Hayes are both ruled out.
