AIRBUS UK Broughton have been deducted one point and fined £425 following a disciplinary panel hearing held at the FAW in Cardiff on Wednesday.

The Wingmakers accepted a charge under FAW Rule 38.1 for a breach of Rules 57.1 and 57.3, with regards to the registration of player Andrew Jones.

The club did not request a private hearing and a disciplinary panel considered the matter in accordance with FAW Rules.

Airbus UK Broughton were warned as to their future conduct, fined £425 and deducted one point from their Welsh Premier League first phase record.

"The club will not be appealing the decision made by the FAW Panel," says a statement from chief operating officer Stewart Roberts.

"Unfortunately, although the player was registered to play, a simple administrative error relating to the late submission of other documentation did mean that a rule was breached and the club have apologised for the error.

"A valuable yet costly administrative lesson has been learnt and, whilst we are obviously disappointed particularly at a one point deduction, it will only reinforce the motivation and efforts of everyone at the club to ensure we achieve success this season."
