DIRECTOR of football Andy Preece is optimistic that the Wingmakers can continue the winning trend when they make the long trip to Afan Lido for Saturday’s televised  clash on S4/C (3.45pm).

Airbus followed Saturday’s last-gasp 1-0 victory at home to Carmarthen Town with a 2-1 triumph at 10-man Bala Town on Monday.

"Its a brilliant start and when you looked at the games on paper, with the strengthening Carmarthen have done over the summer and with Bala’s winning streak in the closing stages of last season, they looked two difficult games," Preece says.

"To get six out of six we’ve got to be delighted and the lads gave everything in those two games which were really testing with the heat, so credit to them.

"Next up is Afan Lido and that is going to be another big test for us and anytime you have to go down to South Wales it makes it that little bit more difficult for us.

"The lads will be refreshed and with it being on TV they will be wanting to put in a good performance."

The Wingmakers were 5-1 winners at the Marstons Stadium last season, but home boss Paul Evans has strengthened in the summer, his mosr recent signing being experienced central defender Matthew Rees from Carmarthen.
