GARDNER Aerospace has extended its support for Airbus UK Broughton Football Club under a major new sponsorship deal announced today.

Already the sponsor of playing kits for the first team and the whole of the club's academy structure until 2016, Gardner has agreed to maintain the arrangement until the end of season 2017/18 and is also sponsoring the Gardner Aerospace Academy Stand at the runway end of the Hollingsworth Group Stadium,

Every player at the Wingmakers, from six-year-olds through to the first team squad, wears shirts with the logo of Gardner, which is one of Europe's largest suppliers of aerospace detailed parts, sub-assemblies and total manufacturing services and has one of its 12 global sites in Broughton, adjacent to the Airbus factory and the football club.

Site director John Rooney says: "We are delighted to extend our sponsorship of Airbus UK Broughton FC.

"It is important for us to be able to help in the development of young players who are the future of the club, in addition to supporting the local community and continual football development in one of our main areas of operation in the UK."

Airbus commercial manager Chris Doran also welcomed the generous deal: "We really appreciate the sponsorship because it strengthens our ability to challenge for major honours in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League as well as helping to underpin our academy, which has unearthed some important talent, and enhances our collaboration with the local community."
