AIRBUS director of football Andy Preece credited his team's non-stop work ethic as key in their third thumping victory over Welsh Premier top six rivals Prestatyn this season.

The Wingmakers followed previous 5-0 and 6-1 drubbings of the Seasiders with a 4-0 breeze on Friday night at Bastion Gardens, but Preece stressed the importance of never letting up against a Town outfit which has become renowned for their remarkable comebacks this term, especially in their two 3-3 draws at Bangor City.

"We never take the foot off the accelerator, especially against teams like Prestatyn," said the Airbus chief. "They've shown at Bangor what they can do, they come back and they keep at it, you give them a little sniff and they'll take it, and that's something we guarded against."

Preece felt his side were more than worthy winners against hosts who did not manage a single shot on target.

"I thought we played really well," he added. "I didn't think we started as well as we normally do, but we pretty much dominated the whole game, I don't think Jamie (Stephens) has had a save to make whereas Dunty (Prestatyn keeper Jon Hill-Dunt) made four or five top class saves.

"It was a thoroughly professional performance. We created loads of chances, scored goals, kept a clean sheet – and against one of our nearest rivals. It puts us in a strong position with games running out."

Preece was proud of the unstinting effort his players maintained throughout, adding: "We instil that into the lads; that's what brings us any results we get. We've got quality in the team, but without the work-rate, desire and organisation you won't get the results."
