AIRBUS UK Broughton Reserves have collected their Award for winning last seasons Welsh National League Reserve Division. At the League`s Annual General Meeting held at Brymbo in Wrexham Reserves Manager Steve Benyon collected the Shield on behalf of his Squad of Players, a Youthful squad that also reached Finals in the North East Wales Area Association Cup at Wrexhams Racecourse and the Horace Wynne Cup Final at Brymbo.
Everyone at Airbus UK Broughton are proud of the achievments of the Reserves last season and are looking forward to another competitive and hopefully successful season this time around.
Other news from the WNL AGM confirmed that only Corwen FC would be promoted to the Reserves Division from the Colts Division in a Division that will have 16 teams.
Finally it was also confirmed that Airbus UK Broughton Colts team would be accepted as a new team into the Reserves/Colts Division and the Club are excited that there is now a step for successful Academy Youngsters to make the step up into local senior football with the goal of going through to reserves and first team in the future. The Colts will be marshalled by Lee Starkey (Academy Director) and Dave Riley.
The new Welsh National League Season will Kick Off on Friday 13th August and Saturday 14th August.
