AIRBUS maintained their perfect start to the season with a seventh consecutive league victory, beating Porthmadog 2-1 at The Traeth.

In-form striker Asa Hamilton bravely defied a broken nose to lead the line and score the first goal, with Lewis Buckley netting the winner 10 minutes from time.

Chances were at a premium in a closely-contested affair with Ryan Edwards firing over the bar from a Joe Palmer corner and keeper Paul Pritchard smothering the ball in a goalmouth scramble following a corner. But the Wingmakers made the breakthrough on 36 minutes when Pritchard failed to hold a long shot from Palmer and Hamilton was on hand to turn in the rebound against his former club.

Port were close to an equaliser after the break when Josh Banks fired an angled shot just over the target before a Gruff Jones header was cleared off the line and Dale Davies drilled the rebound past Dave Roberts.

Curtis Strong's run down the left ended with a shot over the bar before Buckley took advantage of home hesitation in defence when he nipped in to seize on a loose ball and fire an excellent shot past Pritchard. Iddon Price headed narrowly over for the hosts from a Tomos Emlyn corner and Strong had a cross cleared off the line in the last minute.
