The Wingmakers boss Steve O'Shaughnessy felt his side competed well at the gusty Cyncoed Campus against Europa League chasing Cardiff Met.

Although the performance was a positive one, the 52 year old felt that his side did well to come away with a point, and that was the fair result for both teams.

This is what the manager thought when we spoke to him just after the final whistle.

"Pleasing to come away with a point," The Welshman said.

"It's a tough place to come, conditions were poor today, didn't help either team. It was just a game of two halves. First half, we had the wind, got one-nil up, could have got a few more. Second half, they scored three minutes into the half, heads didn't drop, overall I thought the draw was a fair result."

Airbus could have come away from the Capital with all three points if it wasn't for a great save from Met keeper William Fuller which stopped Ryan Edwards from slotting home. But the missed opportunity means it's another game that chances have cost the Bus, as their winless run extends to 13 in all competitions.

Although the Archers keeper stopped the Wingmakers from recording their first win in over four months, it must be said that Oliver Byrne produced the goods when it mattered for Airbus keeping the current play off leaders at bay. This is what the gaffer had to say on the chances missed in this game.

"I thought the end of the second half, we had the best chance. Ryan's gone through, but the keeper pulled off a great save. If he scored that, it would have been 2-1 and we probably would have won the game. It didn't, it's one of them. Just looking forward to the next game."

Niall Watson was able to bag his first goal for the Bus moments before half time, before a Mael Davies strike levelled things back up shortly after the restart

The 19-year-old put in a key performance on his second start for Airbus, and became the 10th different scorer this season for the Wingmakers.

"Niall works hard. It's not just his goal scoring, it's off the ball as well. He created a few chances just by his work rate, it's nice to see him score. So hopefully he can get another couple next game."

Airbus now have a week off, before their next two games have become must win. Both games are against rivals Carmarthen and Penybont. The relegation fight, which has became a lot tougher assignment due to both the Bont and the Old Gold picking up wins against Aberystwth and Cefn Druids during this match-day.

However, O'Shaughnessy believes that the Bus can take a lot from the draw as they begin preparations for the biggest games of the season.

"Its a positive, we haven't got beat, it's a hard place to come. It is a good point, so I'm looking forward to the next game. "
