MATTY McGinn donned his boots for one final game in his testimonial against a celebrity XI from TV show Hollyoaks, where he works as an electrician.

Featuring for the visitors on a rain-soaked night at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium were Nick Pickard (Tony), Dave Kennedy (Dick), Parry Glasspool (Harry), Adam Woodward (Brody), Jacob Roberts (Damon), Theo Graham (Hunter) and Duayne Boachie (Zac).

Friends and former team-mates of Matty who turned out for Airbus included Wes Baynes, Jay Crowther, Chris Doran, Tony Gray, George Horan, Jay Owen, Chris Simm and Ashley Williams, while manager Andy Thomas, first team coach Mark Allen and academy director Lee Starkey all rolled back the years to appear in the match.

McGinn captained each side for 45 minutes, scored twice and was only denied a hat-trick by a great save from Doran as the Airbus XI ran out 4-3 winners.

We thank Matty for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future.
