CLUB captain Paul Connolly has left the Wingmakers to sign a loan deal with Bangor City with a view to a permanent move when the January transfer window opens.

A summer signing for Airbus from Stockport County, Connolly has made 12 Welsh Premier appearances this season.

Liverpool-born, the 34-year-old came through the youth ranks at Plymouth Argyle and went on to make more than 300 Football League appearances for the Pilgrims, Derby County, Sheffield United, Leeds United, Portsmouth, Preston North End, Millwall, Crawley Town and Luton Town.

Airbus manager Andrew Thomas says Connolly wants to help the Citizens challenge for honours this season.
