AIRBUS UK Broughton boss Andrew Thomas has signed former Crewe Alexandra starlet Liam O'Neill.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder was a scholar with the Railwaymen before being awarded a professional contract at Gresty Road in 2015 after making a stellar impact in the Under-18's run to the FA Youth Cup Quarter Finals.

O'Neill notched four goals along the way including a brace against Bolton Wanderers, one in an opening round win over Preston North End and the opening goal in a 3-2 win at Arsenal.

He was one of 11 players released by Crewe manager Steve Davis this summer.
