DIRECTOR of football Andy Preece has made two new signings as five players depart the Hollingsworth Group Stadium for a variety of reasons.

The new arrivals are Jordan Barrow from Caernarfon Town and Johnny Spittle from Llandudno.

Barrow, 20, is a former Everton youth midfielder who was released from Goodison Park two years ago and played 31 games for Stalybridge Celtic in before joining the Canaries last summer.

Spittle is also a 20-year-old who had previous spells at Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and  Rochdale before signing at Llandudno a year ago.

Steve Jones, who was capped 29 times by Northern Ireland and played in most of his country's unsuccessful 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign, has signed for his local club Nantwich Town.

Jones signed for the Wingmakers last summer and, in an injury-troubled campaign, appeared in both legs of the Europa League tie against Ventspils and scored five Welsh Premier goals from 17 (+5) appearances.

Experienced former Football League defender Phil Bolland has decided to retire.

He made 167 appearances for Chester City over two spells and a further 35 for Peterborough United and Wrexham.

Bolland then moved to Cambridge United in 2008 before joining Barrow, where he appeared 101 times and was part of the side that won the FA Trophy in 2010.

Also departing is Steve Abbott, who is moving to Australia. He scored 13 WPL goals for Airbus including three hat-tricks from 44 appearances after previously playing for Wigan, Leigh, Team Bath, Wrexham and TNS amongst others.

Bangor City are expected to sign wing back Sam Hart who joined the Wingmakers in the summer of 2012 and has since made 32 full and 11 sub appearances in the Welsh Premier, scoring four goals.

"Sam is a top lad and goes with our best wishes after two great years at the club," says Preece.

"We wanted him to stay but we could not compete with the deal offered by Bangor."

The fifth player to leave is Jason Oswell, who joined in January from Rhyl.
