ANDY Preece will take his Wingmakers to the scene of one of his greatest moments in football to face Stockport County in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 26 July.

The Airbus director of football scored 42 goals from 97 appearances for the Hatters after joining from Wrexham.

But the highlight undoubtedly came in January 1994 when Preecey scored the winning goal for County in a giant-killing feat FA Cup third round win against Neil Warnock's Queens Park Rangers of the Premier League.

Before the nostalgic return to Edgeley Park there is the small matter of preparation for Europe, starting with a trip to Bangor City's Nantporth on Thursday 19 June (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Citizens are also preparing for the Europa League and the game against our Welsh Premier rivals will give both sides a competitive warm-up.

Euro preparations continue on Saturday 28 June with a trip to face another Europa League qualifier, Crusaders. The game, at the Seaview Stadium in Belfast, kicks-off at 3.00pm.

Due to the work required to install a new synthetic pitch at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium, most of the pre-season friendlies will be away from home,

After the trip to Stockport, Airbus will play Trafford FC in Flixton on Tuesday 5 August followed by a double against Huws Gray Alliance opposition.

Alan Morgan's Llandudno will be the opposition on Saturday 9 August before Airbus travel to meet Richard Williams-Cooke's newly promoted Denbigh Town at Central Park on Tuesday 12 August.

It is planned that the first fixture on the new 3G surface will be the following Saturday 16 August.
