The Wingmakers were pretty much in control once Glenn Rule had opened the scoring after 13 minutes, but they had to be patient before sealing the three points with second half goals from Tom Field, Andy Jones and Jordan Barrow.

A long clearance from visiting keeper Terry McCormick caused some consternation in the home ranks in the opening minutes, but Airbus soon warmed to their task and Field was denied by a good save by the Nomads' keeper.

But he was well beaten as Airbus were rewarded for pressure when Chris Budrys headed a Field cross forwards for Rule steer a volley into the net from 12 yards.

It took a last ditch tackle to stop Ryan Wignall from extending the advantage and McCormick pulled-off an excellent point blank save to deny Ellis Healing.

Rule was just over the target with a 20-yard chip and, after the break, went even closer with a 30-yarder that just missed at the far post.

Sean Miller narrowly missed contact with a cross when he would have had a free header for the visitors before James Coates made an excellent save from Ricky Evans.

But Airbus then extended their lead, Field sending McCormick the wrong way from the penalty spot after a foul in the box.

Lewis Short's corner was returned by the Quay defence and his cross was deftly headed home at the back stick by Jones as the Wingmakers started to take control in rapidly deteriorating conditions.

And sub Barrow added the fourth, rolling the ball into an empty net after spotting McCormick off his line.
